Solution Architect / Business Analyst

Position: Solution Architect / Business Analyst
Location: South Africa (Hybrid/Remote considered)
Employment Type: Permanent/Contract (Negotiable)
Experience: 3+ years experience in database development or database engineering roles.
Qualification: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engage business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solution architectures.
• Design enterprise solutions covering:
  • Applications
  • Integrations
  • Workflows
  • APIs
  • Data flows
  • Security
  • Infrastructure
• Develop business process models using BPMN and workflow methodologies.
• Produce:
  • Functional Specifications
  • Solution Design Documents
  • User Stories
  • Process Flows
  • Integration Specifications
  • Use Cases
• Support digital transformation, automation, and system modernization initiatives.
• Work closely with developers, QA teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business units.
• Participate in solution governance, architecture reviews, and project planning.
• Support system testing, UAT coordination, and deployment activities.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Strong experience in business analysis and/or solution architecture.
• Understanding of enterprise systems, APIs, and system integration.
• Experience with:
  • Business Process Modeling
  • BPMN
  • Workflow Automation
  • Requirements Gathering
  • Solution Documentation
• Knowledge of:
  • REST APIs
  • Microservices
  • Enterprise Integration Patterns
  • Cloud and Hybrid Architectures
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze complex business processes and recommend optimization opportunities.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to platforms such as:
  • Camunda
  • Jira
  • Confluence
  • Microsoft Visio
• Experience with enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, Core Banking, Insurance, or HR systems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft.
• Experience in banking, insurance, fintech, or enterprise transformation projects is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in Solution Architecture, Business Analysis, or Enterprise Systems roles.
